Letter to the editor: Now is the time to gauge support for a proposed indoor turf facility

With city taxpayers looking at an average increase of $200 on their tax bill in 2024 ( 5.5 per cent increase) surely the city should listen to the taxpayers who will be responsible for paying for this massive expenditure.

To the editor,

Soon Thunder Bay taxpayers will be receiving their tax bills in the mail.

This would be an ideal time for the city to enclose a poll question with a return paid envelope to gauge support for a proposed indoor turf facility.

TBnewswatch recently conducted an online poll and the results would indicate that the majority of taxpayers do not support the city building and operating an indoor turf facility at taxpayers' expense.

With city taxpayers looking at an average increase of $200 on their tax bill in 2024 (5.5 per cent increase) surely the city should listen to the taxpayers who will be responsible for paying for this massive expenditure.
