To the editor:
In all my years of being deeply involved in safe, defensive driving, I noticed each individual assumes that they are the best and everyone else is a poor driver.
It still exists today and my personal shock recently was when my taxi driver did not stop at a stop sign.
His attitude was grumpy to begin with due to having to assist me into the vehicle; it was icy and I, with a cane and my senior age of 89 (proud of it). No assistance to help me at my destination, but he was on the bit when I accidently short-changed him.
Yes, I should have reported him, but at this time of year I just couldn’t. He dropped me off at St. Paul’s Anglican Church so I just said a prayer for him (and others on the road).
Merry Christmas and drive safely.
God bless you, too.
