101 new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district

The number of patients in ICU rose from six to nine since Friday.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says lab tests have confirmed 101 new COVID-19 cases in its service area as of Monday morning.

This is the number of positive test results obtained since TBDHU's last update on Friday.

The health unit's COVID-19 dashboard shows 24 individuals are currently in hospital with the virus, five fewer than on Friday.

However, the number of patients in ICU rose from six to nine.

The active case count currently stands at 153, down 13 cases from Friday.

No update on the COVID-19 positivity test rate has been provided yet for last week.

During the week of March 6 to 12, it was 19.7 per cent.
