THUNDER BAY — The number of district patients with COVID-19 receiving treatment in intensive care remains unchanged since Monday.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports that there are 10 patients in intensive care, the same as in its last release of data two days ago.
TBDHU initially posted data Wednesday morning that indicated there are 14 patients in ICU, but that figure was subsequently revised.
According to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, six of its COVID patients are in the ICU.
Fifty-one people are currently hospitalized across the district with COVID-19, two more than on Monday.
There are 167 new lab-confirmed cases throughout the district, compared with 146 on Monday.
This brings the current active case count to 310 compared with 283 two days ago.
According to TBDHU data, the number of new cases in the first six weeks of 2022 is already within 500 of the new cases reported in all of 2021.
