1st annual Amazing Race Thunder Bay set to start in August

Amazing Race Thunder Bay in support of wetland conservation will take place next month.

THUNDER BAY – The 1st annual Amazing Race Thunder Bay in support of wetland conservation is set to start on Saturday, Aug. 21.

The event is set to start at 9 a.m. and will feature 12 different challenges at different businesses around Thunder Bay.

The starting point for the race will be at Royal LePage Lannon Realty, 1141 Barton Street, and the race will end at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, 555 Arthur Street West.

The goal of this event is to raise funds for Ducks Unlimited which is an organization that’s devoted to the conservation of Canada’s wetlands.

Registration for the event will cost $50 per person ($200 per four-person team) with every registrant getting a t-shirt, prizes will be awarded to the Top-3 individual fundraisers who raise a minimum of $100.

To kick off the event, there will be the Amazing Race Online Auction with piles of exclusive Ducks Unlimited Canada merchandise and locally donated items up for bid.
