75-year-old dies kayaking on Two Island Lake

A 75-year-old man has died in a drowning accident at Two Island Lakes in Jacques Township. Thunder Bay OPP say they responded to an emergency call on Friday at about 5 p.m. to a report of a missing male kayaker on the lake, just north of Thunder Bay.

A 75-year-old man has died in a drowning accident at Two Island Lakes in Jacques Township.

Thunder Bay OPP say they responded to an emergency call on Friday at about 5 p.m. to a report of a missing male kayaker on the lake, just north of Thunder Bay.

The body of the victim, identified as Lawrence Wilson, was recovered in the water a short distance away.

Police say a post-mortem will be conducted and their investigation continues.
