DRYDEN, Ont. — Dryden police have arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a large quantity of sport shooting equipment.

Magazines, speed holsters, competition belts and other items valued at $8,000 were stolen from a vehicle the night of June 28.

Police say they had no information that any firearms were taken.

On Monday officers executed a search warrant at a local residence and recovered some of the missing equipment.

A 21-year-old man will appear in court later this month on a charge of possession of stolen property.

Dryden police say the case remains under investigation, and they are asking to hear from members of the public who may have information that leads to the recovery of more equipment or the arrest of further suspects.
