THUNDER BAY -- A review of the city's snowplowing service will arrive just in time for spring.

Council was given a memo Monday night outlining around $2.1 million in options for the city to change its snowplowing standards. The memo from roads manager Brad Adams came after concerns last month when the city was hit by rain that quickly turned to ice. Some, like Coun. Andrew Foulds, want to give administration the ability to make more local decisions when extreme events happen in certain areas of the city.

"We need to be able to react to specific circumstances," he said.

Adams said a current review could come back to council by the spring.
