THUNDER BAY — Work on storm sewers and other improvements will force the closure of a section of James Street starting Wednesday.
The City of Thunder Bay says all lanes of James Street South, between Victoria Avenue and Donald Street, will be blocked off for about eight weeks.
Besides the storm sewer, the project includes watermain work, the addition of bike lanes, and road resurfacing.
Motorists are asked to take alternate routes and obey all signage when travelling in the construction area.
Sidewalks will remain open during the construction period.
