AbitibiBowater has replaced its CEO a day after emerging from bankruptcy protection.
The Canadian newsprint giant has replaced David Paterson, who led the company through 20 months of restructuring, with current board member Richard Garneau.
Garneau was previously CEO of Catalyst Paper Corp, and said he's excited to help write the next chapter in the company's history.
AbitibiBowater owns or operates 42 facilities in Canada, the U.S. and South Korea, including a pulp and paper mill and a lumber mill in Thunder Bay.
