THUNDER BAY -- A 31-year-old city man faces several charges following a Monday morning drug-store robbery.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the lone male entered the Shopper’s Drug Mart on East Arthur Street Monday just before 9 a.m. with his face blackened with either makeup or dirt.
Once inside the store, the man demanded drugs from the pharmacy staff and was able to make it outside with some narcotics.
But the man was apprehended by staff members in the parking lot, where he was held until police arrived. Before police arrived the man did allegedly threaten the staff members apprehending him, however no one was injured as a result of the altercation.
Kyle Brandon Spence, 31, has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent and uttering threats.
He has been remanded at the district jail and will appear in court again on Jan. 7.
