Active COVID-19 caseload in Thunder Bay district falls to single digits

For the second straight day, no new cases were reported.

THUNDER BAY — For the first time since early November, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay has fallen to single digits.

The TBDHU reported Wednesday morning that there are now only nine active cases.

This is the lowest total since Nov. 7, 2020 when there were eight.

For the second straight day, the TBDHU reported no new cases in the previous 24 hours.

Three existing cases were resolved.

Three district residents with COVID-19 remain in hospital, including two in intensive care.
