THUNDER BAY – A single-vehicle crash has led to traffic problems on a stretch of Cumberland Street Thursday morning.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were at the scene of a crash at Cumberland and Egan Streets before 8 a.m. Officers were said to be directing traffic on Cumberland Street, which was down to one lane as of 8:10 a.m.

Few details have been confirmed, but it is believed the driver of a vehicle crashed into a hydro pole. Police say alcohol may have been a factor in this incident, however it is still early in their investigation.

Officials from the utility say that as of 7:50 a.m., there were no power disruptions in the area as a result of this crash.
