Another COVID outbreak declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor

Four resident home areas are now affected.

THUNDER BAY — An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared in another resident home area of Hogarth Riverview Manor.

The latest outbreak is in the Daffodil (1N) area of the complex.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the operator of the nursing home, St. Joseph's Care Group, made the announcement after three people tested positive for the virus.

It was determined that transmission had occurred within the facility.

Enhanced surveillance and testing has been implemented.

According to the TBDHU website, COVID-19 outbreaks also continue in other areas of Hogarth Riverview Manor – Marigold (5N) and Birch/Spruce Grove.

They were declared last week.
