DRYDEN -- Dryden's Chief Administrative Officer has quit after only six weeks on the job.
CAO Peggy Van Meirlo-West submitted her resignation to Dryden City Council on Jan. 31.
"We respect Mrs. Van Meirlo-West’s decision and wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” said Mayor Greg Wilson.
"The City, meanwhile, with the support of the Senior Management Team will continue to move forward with the 2016 budget process including two scheduled meetings this week. Council will meet shortly to determine both interim leadership and recruitment initiatives.”
Van Meirlo-West was the city's third CAO in the past two years.
City officials offered no explanation for her departure.
