Wednesday evening’s Summer in the Parks brought another season to a close after eight weeks of entertainment.
The final Summer in the Parks had something for everyone this season. Musicians tantalized the eardrums, and food vendors tickled the tastebuds. The summer events also featured everything from jugglers to face painters.
During the final Summer in the Parks, local clowns presented the City of Thunder Bay with a cheque for $525. That money will go toward paying for the repairs of vandalized park sculptures.
Event co-ordinator John-Paul DeRoover called this season’s Summer in the Parks a definite success.
Organizers and volunteers were pleased with a record turn-out, and expect Summer in The Parks to be around for another 100 years.
