THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police have made an arrest in connection to some of the repeated threats made against St. Patrick High School.

A youth was identified as a suspect and arrested on Wednesday after an investigation that involved a school resource officer and officers with the TBPS Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) unit.

The youth has been released after being charged with two counts of mischief and public mischief in connection to a threat made against the school on Tuesday and another on Wednesday.

Since the accused is a minor, their identity cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The release did indicate that the accused was not a student of St. Patrick High School.

While the youth is suspected of being involved with two of the recent threats the school has received, police said other threats against the school are still under investigation.
