Arthur Street Mac's robbed at knifepoint

THUNDER BAY -- Police are investigating an early morning armed convenience store robbery. Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service say the robbery took place at the Mac's convenience store at 600 Arthur Street West just after midnight Friday.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service say the robbery took place at the Mac's convenience store at 600 Arthur Street West just after midnight Friday. Police say a woman armed with a knife made off with a small mount of cash and cigarettes. 

Police describe the suspect as being an Aboriginal woman in her 30s or 40s. She is believed to be about five-feet-three-inches tall and has a heavy build. At the time of the robbery the suspect wore a dark hoodie, dark pants, glasses, a white shirt, baseball cap and red gloves.

The woman appeared to have a dark neck tube pulled up onto her face.

The woman was last seen heading westbound on Arthur Street.
