THUNDER BAY -- Last year, aspiring writers learned the answers to some of their most burning literary questions from those who have practiced the craft and worked in the business of writing for years, but there will always be more questions to be asked and more answers to be shared.

The Northwestern Ontario Writers Workshop and the Thunder Bay Public Library are pleased to bring back Ask an Author, a unique event that provides an opportunity for people to engage with some of Thunder Bay’s published authors.

“Ask an Author is a wonderful event that allows members of the community to ask questions of local authors about their journey with the written word,” said author Jean E. Pendziwol. “Sometimes the craft of writing can be a lonely endeavour, and having the opportunity to speak with another writer -- someone who has gone on to successfully publish -- about their experiences can be empowering. I'm looking forward to the conversations again this year!”

Participating authors this year include Jean E. Pendziwol, H. Leighton Dickson, Jeanette Lynes, and Roy Blomstrom.

"NOWW had such positive feed back from the participants, both authors and members of the public, in last year's Ask an Author, we thought it would be worth doing a somewhat different version this year that will allow for a larger audience who is curious about the world of writing,” said NOWW president, Elizabeth Pszczolko. “We are very lucky to have such a pool of great local talent to draw from.”

Each author will do a five-minute reading followed by a panel discussion where audience participants can ask questions and all authors will have the opportunity to respond.

Please join us at the Mary J. L. Black Library on Thursday, April 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. No registration is required. For more information, visit www.nowwwriters.ca.
