ATIKOKAN, ONT., – Four people have been charged after police executed a drug search warrant in Atikokan on Tuesday.
In a news release, Ontario Provincial Police along with the Northwest Region Emergency Team attended a Mercury Avenue residence in Atikokan where drugs and cash were seized.
Police located crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, and cocaine with an estimated street value of $46,000. Further, $5,000 in cash was seized by officers.
Elijah Waithe, 20, of Oshawa is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime
Kayla Doherty, 27, of Thunder Bay is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime.
Both Doherty and Waithe remain in custody awaiting bail hearings.
Josh Veran, 32, of Atikokan is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime
Megan Charles, 32, of Atikokan is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime
Both parties have been released and will attend Atikokan Provincial Court on Feb. 24.
