Attempted abduction at Confederation College

Police say man asked female victim to accompany him, then tried to grab her.

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay police are hunting for a man who allegedly attempted to abduct a woman on Tuesday morning outside Confederation College  

Between  the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. a female student was approached by a male who asked her to accompany him. When she refused, he attempted to grab her. The female was able to evade the male and run to the college for assistance.

The suspect is described by police as a non-white, bearded male with black hair, black eyes and a tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing dark pants and a light-coloured sweater.

This interaction occurred on the concrete walking path between the main entrance to the Shuniah Building and the "F" parking lot on the north side of the building.
