THUNDER BAY – The driver of an off-road vehicle sustained major injuries after a single-vehicle collision in the township of Ware, northwest of Thunder Bay.
A passing motorist reported the collision on Auto Road, north of Highway 102, at approximately 1:46 a.m Saturday, reported the Ontario Provincial Police.
The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance with major injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the off-road vehicle lost control, ejecting the driver prior to entering a ditch, police said in a statement Sunday.
OPP technical collision investigators and its Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement unit (TIME) attended the scene to investigate.
