Although famous for being stuck in the past, Fort William Historical Park experienced a different kind of time warp Saturday afternoon.

The Fort hosted Retrofest, a concert featuring The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley and The Temptations review. Fort general manager Sergio Buonocore said it's all part of the historical park’s attempt to diversify the events held there.

While only a few hundred were on hand early Saturday afternoon, Bunocore said the sometimes chilly day was going great so far. The concert eventually saw over 3,000 people throughout the evening.

"I don’t know about the numbers. Our expectation is that we provide a good quality product. we try to run the organization like clock-work here," Buonocore said as the bundled crowd clapped along to Thunder Bay’s The Sensational Hot Rods.

Like last weekend’s Rendezvous with Italy, Bounocore said Retrofest is about celebrating diversity in culture. And people really enjoy being able to dance along to hits like "Shake, Rattle and Roll", a song played by the Hot Rods including choreography.

"We’re trying to do different themes different years," said Buonocore. "I think Thunder Bay should really see what they have here at Fort William. We’re very lucky to have this as a park in our community."

Tickets are $25. The show goes until 10 p.m. Saturday night with The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley starting at 8:30 p.m.
