A provincial court judge has pushed back the bail hearing for a 38-year-old-man charged in a massive drug operation to later this month.
John Tsekouras appeared via video at the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay for a bail hearing on Wednesday. Police charged Tsekouras along with five other individuals in a massive drug bust called Project Dolphin in April. Tsekouras faces numerous drug related charges including trafficking and selling marijuana and cocaine.
It’s alleged that Tsekouras was the head of the drug organization.
The judge pushed the case back until Aug. 23.
Tsekouras is being defended by Toronto lawyer Edward Greenspan who represented media baron Conrad Black.
None of the charges against Tsekouras has been proven in court.
