THUNDER BAY – A robbery at Barb’s Laundromat on May Street has police turning to the public to help identify the suspect.

According to a release issued by Thunder Bay Police on Saturday, the incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on Sept. 10, when a male entered the business, jumped over the counter, grabbed the 19-year-old employee’s cell phone and demanded money from the till.

The suspect also threatened the clerk, then left the business with the phone and an unspecified sum of money.

No one was hurt in the alleged robbery.

Police are seeking an Aboriginal man, approximately 30 years of age. He was wearing a black hoodie, a red baseball cap with a shiny sticker on the top of the brim, black pants and shoes. He was also carrying a dark green duffle bag.
