Battle of the Bands to be featured at Exploring Our Routes

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging local youth to get involved in a new feature at this year’s Exploring our Routes event on Oct.15 at the Kinsmen Youth Centre and Northwood Playfield. For the first time, the afternoon event will feature a youth Battle of the Bands competition.

The Battle of the Bands is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. with the winner announced at 4 p.m. The City encourages all youth musicians and groups with members 18 years of age and under to enter and showcase their talents. All genres of music that are suitable for a family-friendly event are eligible. Entry forms are available at thunderbay.ca/events or by emailing [email protected].

Exploring Our Routes will also feature many other activities for the family including Ultimate Gymnastics’ Try It Zone, a photography workshop with Kirvan Photography, face painting, pick-up games of soccer and basketball, Ashley’s Little Rabbitry petting zoo, and so much more!
