BC man arrested for alleged drunk driving

A 39-year-old man from British Columbia is facing numerous charges, including driving while impaired, driving with open liquor and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

THUNDER BAY — Provincial police were conducting general patrol along Hwy 102 and nabbed a suspected drunk driver. 

Around 9 p.m., officers were positioned near Alppila Rd and conducted a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle. 

Police suspected the driver was operating the vehicle intoxicated and arrested him. 

A 39-year-old man from British Columbia is facing numerous charges, including driving while impaired, driving with open liquor and dangerous operation of a vehicle. 

The accused is being held in custody until his bail hearing on Tuesday.

The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario's roadways. Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
