Thunder Bay Police Service patrol officers were dispatched to the Kamview Overlook Park at 6:30 p.m. on July 19th to assist a female that was in the water screaming and appeared to be struggling.
When officers arrived there were two males in a small dingy boat attempting to bring her to shore.
The female was in distress and resisting the help.
An officer entered the water and helped to bring her closer to the shore so the paramedics and the other officer could pull her to safety.
The female was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
