Body found in area of North Syndicate Avenue

Sudden death under investigation, police looking for witnesses.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are investigating a sudden death on North Syndicate Avenue.

In a release issued just before midnight on Sunday, city police say they received a 911 call at about 11:26 a.m. on Sunday to check on the welfare of a male.

When they arrived on scene they found a deceased person and two others who had been assaulted.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward and phone them at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police have not identified the deceased person.
