Body found in parking lot, police investigating

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay police are conducting a sudden-death investigation after a man's body was discovered in the parking lot of the Prince Arthur Hotel.

Police, in a release, said they received a call about the situation at about 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Emergency crews arriving on scene quickly determined the man's vital signs were absent. He was transported to hospital and pronounced dead shortly upon arrival.

The Thunder Bay Police Service's criminal investigation branch is continuing the investigation in conjunction with the coroner's office.
