THUNDER BAY -- A precautionary boil-water advisory affecting more than 11,000 households in Thunder Bay’s north side has been lifted.

City officials on Sunday said they plan to hand deliver notices to all affected homes beginning on Monday, a process that will continue during business hours throughout the week.

The advisory stemmed from a broken pipe at the Chamberlain pumping station, which crews are still attempting to repair. As a result, the city is asking residents and businesses to limit non-essential water use until the repairs are complete.

Residents with questions are asked to direct questions to infrastructure and dispatch at 625-2195.
