Boil-water advisory still in effect for some residents

THUNDER BAY -- Sections of the city are still under a boil-water advisory. City officials on Friday said residents in Zone 2N, extending north of Oliver Road and west of Algoma Street, should continue to boil their water before consuming.

THUNDER BAY -- Sections of the city are still under a boil-water advisory.

City officials on Friday said residents in Zone 2N, extending north of Oliver Road and west of Algoma Street, should continue to boil their water before consuming.

The problem stems from repairs being made to the Chamberlain pumping station, which are expected to continue throughout the day.

City staff have been hand-delivering advisory’s to affected residents and are asking everyone in the city to limit non-essential water use until the repairs are made. The map of the affected area can be seen below, or by visiting the city website here
