WHITE RIVER, Ont. -- The Transportation Safety Board has determined that a broken wheel led to a CP train derailment near White River over a year ago.
The incident took place on April 3, 2013 as the train was en route to Toronto from Edmonton.
Twenty-two cars derailed.
Seven of those 22 derailed cars loaded with crude oil rolled down an embankment, leaking about 102,000 litres.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.
