Tim Hortons and Petro Canada have joined forces to renovate the former Agostino gas bar on John Street Road and Valley Street.
Both businesses plan to open outlets at the location.

Tim Hortons is also building a new location on Edward Street adjacent to The Beer Store.

In the Intercity area, Lowe’s Home Improvement has applied for a demolition permit to start renovations in the former Target location at Intercity Shopping Centre. Stolz said a building permit will be required to complete the work.

Finally, nine permits have been submitted for $17 million in work expected for an expansion of the Ministry of Natural Resources’ Thunder Bay fire management centre.
