A man has been arrested after a traffic stop turned up a sizeable amount of cocaine.
The Thunder Bay Police Service say they stopped a vehicle on the city’s north side around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning where they discovered nearly 650 grams of cocaine.
The street value of the drugs is said to be approximately $65,000. The man is now facing multiple charges.
Police also arrested four impaired drivers during the late Friday night and early Saturday morning period.
A 19-year-old was arrested after a hit and run, meanwhile when en route to the station they encountered a second impaired driver and arrested a 38-year-old.
Two males, an 18-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger are in custody after a vehicle collided with a tree on Empress Street shortly after 8 a.m. They have been charged with break and enter as well as theft of a motor vehicle.
