A Thunder Bay cab driver is down about $200 after becoming the victim of a robbery Monday night.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say the taxi was called to Jasper Drive just before midnight. A lone male entered the car brandishing a sharp object demanding cash.
The driver gave him the money and the suspect fled on foot in a northeast direction through the backyards of area properties.
The suspect is described as being an Aboriginal male who wore dark clothes at the time of the incident. Police did not give any further details about the suspect’s appearance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
