Canada Post office target of break-in and theft: OPP

OPP Media Release (IGNACE, ON) – On July 6, 2015 at approximately 6:30 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ignace Detachment officers were called to investigate a Break, Enter & Theft that occurred at the Canada Post Office in Ignace.

OPP Media Release

(IGNACE, ON) – On July 6, 2015 at approximately 6:30 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ignace Detachment officers were called to investigate a Break, Enter & Theft that occurred at the Canada Post Office in Ignace. 

Several mail boxes were damaged and entered.
Ignace Officers along with assistance from the Northwest Region Forensic Identification Unit and Upsala OPP assisted with the investigation.

On July 6, 2015 at approximately 4:00 p.m. the Upsala OPP arrested a 21 year old male from Alberta and an 18 year old female from Nova Scotia who were taken into custody relating to other offences, but are believed to be connected to the Break, Enter & Theft at the Canada Post Office in Ignace. 

Police are continuing their investigation and an updated release will be sent out as information becomes available.
