THUNDER BAY - Caribou experts from around the world are in Thunder Bay this week for a workshop focusing on the species.
The 16th North American Caribou Workshop is being held at the Victoria Inn.
The four day conference has a large roster of attendees, some from as far away as Norway who are all here to discuss the future of woodland caribou populations.
Around 300 people are in attendance for the conference, which involves a variety of booths and several guest speakers from the scientific community.
Some of the agencies in attendance include Greenpeace, Resolute Forest Products and the new federal department of Climate Change.
The conference wraps up this Friday.
