THUNDER BAY – Gateway Casinos has announced its Thunder Bay location will reopen Friday evening after a weeks-long closure due to a cyber-security threat.
The company announced the reopening of all its Northern Ontario locations in a release Friday.
Gateway Casinos Thunder Bay is set to open at 6 p.m., and will then resume operating hours of 9 a.m. to 4 a.m.
All slots and table games will be available Friday, but the casino will initially have only limited food and beverage service. Full service is expected to return on Saturday.
A cyber-security incident had closed all of Gateway’s Ontario locations on April 16.
The company began a phased plan to reopen its sites last weekend. While most have since reopened, one of its most prominent at Casino Rama remains closed for gaming.
