THUNDER BAY - Some big changes have been announced to the local conservation authority’s board of directors.
The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority's long-time board chair Bill Bartley has stepped down.
Donna Blunt from the municipality of Shuniah, who previously served as vice-chair, will replace Bartley as chair.
She was appointed during the boards last meeting at the end June.
Member Jim Vezina will take over the vice-chair position.
The general manager/secretary treasurer position will now be known as Chief Administrative Officer.
Tammy Cook, who has been employed by the authority for the past 11 years will fill that role.
Blunt said although there has been many changes, she calls it all positive.
