THUNDER BAY -- The head of Children's Centre Thunder Bay says the organization is serving more people than ever, and the group has undergone restructuring to service that growth.
The agency was founded in 1988 as a children's mental health care centre. But CEO Diane Walker says the agency's portfolio has grown since then.
At the organization's recent annual general meeting, Walker said the Centre delivered services to more than 3,000 families in 2014.
As part of that growth, they've restructured, and developed a new mission statement. Walker says it's a reflection of the Children’s Centre's current work.
The Children's Centre's annual report says the number of speech and language therapy cases it handles has nearly doubled.
The centre is funded partially through provincial and municipal governments, as well as private donations.
