MINNEAPOLIS – The Thunder Bay Chill’s march toward the USL 2 playoffs continued with another win on Wednesday night.

The Chill, seeking a return to the postseason for the first time since 2017, earned a 2-1 win over Mineapolis SC to wrap up their four-game road trip.

Andrea De Vincenzi scored the lone goal of the opening half to give the Chill a 1-0 lead, and Daniel Bricker scored in the second to double the advantage.

Sydney Tume scored in stoppage time for Minneapolis, who dropped to 0-9-2 in their expansion season.

With the win the Chill (5-3-2), pulled to within three points of second place Peoria City (6-3-2) in the Deep North Division, and hold a game in hand.

Thunder Bay has two home games remaining next weekend at Chapples Field against FC Manitoba, and will need to pick up at least four points to make the playoffs, depending on Peoria’s outcome on the road against undefeated Des Moines.

Peoria clinches the playoff spot with a win, having won the season series against Thunder Bay. The Chill will clinch with a pair of wins, as long as Peoria doesn’t pick up the full three points against the Menace.
