Chill score late to earn point against FC Manitoba

WINNIPEG – Osita Obiekwe scored in the 90th minute on Sunday to help the Thunder Bay Chill salvage a single point on the road against FC Manitoba.

The Chill, who downed their hosts 2-0 on Saturday in their season opener, are 1-0-1 to open the season, alone in third place in the United Soccer League’s Deep North Division, three points behind Peoria City and five points behind first-place Des Moines (3-0-0).

The Menace, the defending USL2 champions, will pay a visit to Chapples Park on Friday night, the Chill’s first regular season home game since 2019.

Diego Reveco had the lone goal for FC Manitoba (0-1-1), in the 28th minute.
