THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Chill will host their Premier Development League semifinal on Saturday night.

The soccer team on Tuesday announced it will have home-field advantage against the FC Golden State Force as the Chill attempt to reach its fourth PDL final.

Game time at Fort William Stadium is 7:30 p.m.

The Force (12-1-3) on Monday knocked off the Fresno Fuegos 2-0 to capture the Western Conference championship.

The Charlotte Eagles, champions of the Eastern Conference, will take on Mississippi Brilla, winners of the Southern Conference, in the other semifinal in Charlotte.

It’s been nine years since the Chill hosted a national semifinal, defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps en route to their one and only PDL championship.

“We are very excited to host this national semifinal at home for our fans and our sponsors,” said Chill director of operations Tony Colistro, in a release issued by the team.

“We have hosted the conference championship in 2010 and 2013 since 2008, but this game means so much to our organization, and our city. We want to thank the PDL for allowing us the opportunity to host.”

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door for adults. Seniors are $8 and youth are $5.
