Chiodo murder suspect turns himself in to Waterloo Police

Man wanted in connection to the death of Lee Chiodo turns himself in early Tuesday morning.

THUNDER BAY – A man wanted in connection to the death of Lee Chiodo has turned himself in to the Waterloo Region Police Service.

According to Thunder Bay Police Service, Musab Khamis Saboon turned himself in to the Waterloo Region Police Service on Tuesday around 1 a.m.

Saboon was wanted by on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and kidnapping in relation to the homicide investigation of Lee Chiodo. Two other suspects – David Hui and Marshall Hardy-Fox – have also been charged.

The body of the 40-year-old Chiodo was found in the area of 108th Avenue on Mission Island on Feb. 24. Investigators have said that a firearm was involved.

Saboon is expected to appear in Thunder Bay court via video on Friday afternoon. Thunder Bay police said arrangments are still being made to transport him to the city.
