City appoints acting tourism manager

The city has appointed an acting manager of Tourism to fill the void left by Paul Pepe. 

Officials with the City of Thunder Bay announced that Lisa Beckwick will move from the city's human resources department to take on the role. 

Beckwick gained experience in the tourism field as the former marketing manager for the Nor'Wester Hotel and Tournament Centre.  

Last month Pepe was appointed as the acting waterfront project manager while Katherine Dugmore took time off for a medical leave.
