City of Thunder Bay News Release
Residents who place artificial flowers, ornaments, vases, wreathes and hangings on grave lots at Mountainview & St. Patrick’s Cemeteries are being asked to remove them for the summer months.
These items interfere with landscaping equipment during the warmer season and can be damaged in the process.
Any of these items left behind will be deemed abandoned, and cemetery staff will remove them. Trees, bushes, cedars and shrubs are also not allowed within grave lots and will be removed by orders of by-law #32-1994. Deadline is Victoria Day, Monday May 18.
