The city is looking at the possibility of demolishing Victoriaville Centre and turning it back into a street.
While city manager Norm Gale stressed that no decisions have been made, the city did send a letter to stakeholders last month asking for comments.
“A number of stakeholders have requested that administration consider the option of demolishing the Victoriaville Centre and returning the covered portion of Victoria Avenue back to an open street,” the letter obtained by tbnewswatch.com reads.
The matter was brought up Wednesday night before council headed into closed session.
When councilors returned Gale said a review of the facility is being conducted but options are being explored.
“We have no determination to the future of Victoriaville Centre,” Gale said.
He added that no decision would come during this budget.
