City contract aims to clean up the streets of animal carcasses

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is looking for someone to pick up dead animals from its roads. Around 140 calls were made last year about large animal carcasses, mainly moose, bear and deer, on and around city roads.

Around 140 calls were made last year about large animal carcasses, mainly moose, bear and deer, on and around city roads.

Bidding on the pickup and disposal of the large animals contract closed last month, however the contract remains open on the city’s website.
