THUNDER BAY -- More than $7 million in contracts are heading to city council.
A $3.4 million could be awarded to Nadin Contracting for roads, sidewalks, water main, sanitary sewers and street lighting on parts of Georgina Avenue, Mary Street and Crawford Place.
Another $2.9 million would go to Bruno's Contracting for asphalt resurfacing.
Work would be done on:

- Shipley Street
- Tuxedo Drive
- 15th Sideroad
- Brunswick Street
- Bailey Avenue
- Cumming Street
- Dundas Street
- Elliot Street
- Fraser Street
- Martha Street
- Ridgeway Street
- Arthur Street
- Court Street
- Hodder Avenue
- McGillivary Street
- Memorial Avenue
- Melvin Street
- Mountdale Avenue
- Shipyard Road
- Southern Avenue.
Grading and gravel work would also be done on Goods Road and Lancaster Road.
Coratina Construction could receive a $971,000 contract for sidewalk, street lighting and traffic signals. Sidewalk work would be done on Isabella Street, with new street lighting, Lillie Street, Ridgeway Street and Oliver Road.
Hollow sidewalks would be replaced on Norah Street, Rankin Street and Syndicate Avenue. The east side of County Boulevard near Suma Kota would also see a new sidewalk along with a small section of Fort William Road.
New traffic signals would be installed on James Street and Redwood Avenue and Carrick Street and Central Avenue.
